Most people who come in for a fitting describe the same problem in different words: the boot hurts, so they have sized up, and now nothing works. Almost always it is the wrong fix.
A ski boot should feel snug everywhere and sharp nowhere. Standing upright, your toes brush the front. Flex forward into the cuff and they pull back off it.
Shell fit comes first
Before a liner goes anywhere near your foot we pull it out and stand you in the bare shell. One to two fingers of space behind the heel is a performance fit; three is comfort.
If you can wiggle your toes freely on day one, the boot is already too big for day thirty.
What to bring
- One pair of thin ski socks.
- Your current boots, even the ones that hurt.
- An hour. A rushed fitting is a refund waiting to happen.
